Ralph Lauren to Speak at Parsons

WWD on 2015 -May -05

Ralph Lauren is the inaugural lecturer in the new Marvin Traub Lecture for Innovation hosted by Parsons School of Design tonight. It’s a fitting choice for a debut speaker, given Lauren’s deep connection to Bloomingdale’s and the late Traub, who served as the store’s chief executive officer and president for more than 20 years.

The lecture series is part of the “At Parsons Table” talks conducted by Paul Goldberger, who has also interviewed Frank Gehry, Chuck Close, Bruce Mau and Donna Karan as part of the program.

The conversation between Lauren and Goldberger will also introduce the Marvin Traub Lecture for Innovation and scholarship, in remembrance of Traub, who was a longtime Parsons Board of Governors member. The lecture series and scholarship are dedicated to the advancement of design and business ideas, and are made possible by Lee Traub, Traub’s widow, Marvin Traub Associates, and other donors.
